People trampled… for shoes

Well… I was reading through the BBC News site and saw a story being trampled over the release of a new pair of Nike shoes… http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-16323666

I mean c’mon… its just a pair of shoes, you wouldn’t do the same for a new phone would you? Oh wait, all the MacTards do that every time an iGaget is released.  Looks like Nike have taken a leaf out of Apple’s marketing guide and have developed a cult of fanatical followers… Good for them :D

OK So I haven’t posted in a while because of this

It’s December 24th and I’ve just realised that I havent made a post since the middle of September…

I’ve been pretty busy with a few freelance jobs and have also started to work on a tool for administering MySQL servers called MySQL Tools (inventive name I know).

You can track its progress here www.github.com/partydroid/MySQL-Tools

Work over the last month has been slow… There’s about 6 things on my to-do list but you can still try it out!

Why can’t people sing!

Ok. So I’m in a bar at the moment in France. Sipping Rosé wine*** and its Karaoke night. In Korea, karaoke is a big thing. Everyone can do it perfectly or at least put 110% effort into it. Here in france, i think it’s the complete opposite. The bar’s packed, the music’s loud, but the entertainment just isn’t here. The evening’s just full of knownothings and people who haven’t even the confidence to sing into the mic.

I would say bring back the old day’s but I’m 19 and have only lived long enough to survive a couple of british karaoke nights. I miss the action and I’m tempted to say I miss the atmosphere. But the atmosphere is OK. It’s just the embarrassing singers I miss I guess.

*** it costs 1.50Euro for a glass of wine. 4.50Eur for a Stella. you do the maths
