Last night Facebook announced Timeline, a new way of showing everything that has happened on Facebook in a clean, modern, sleek way.

Seems as most of the recent changes to Facebook have been quite badly presented and obnoxious, this recent addition has definitely given a new niche to Facebook.
Facebook say that Timeline feature will be launched on the 30th September 2011. However the preview is available for developers who use the open graph API. I didn’t realise that was what qualified me to see this prerelease beta, but then I found this guide at tech crunch. http://techcrunch.com/2011/09/22/how-to-enable-facebook-timeline/
To enable the Timelines feature: Login on Facebook, add the facebook developer app (http://developers.facebook.com), create a new app (you don’t have to fill much of this out), on the app’s page look for “Open Graph” and then click the link that says “Get started using open graph”
After that just create a new action like “visit” a “website” or “cook” a “toastie” – it won’t be public.
After 10 minutes or so, you should see a link on your Facebook homepage asking you to join the beta.
